i just realized i misspelled Stories in the title.. this is why i dont write... LOL This is why those of us that do get editors :-) I fixed it. For future reference, your own messages should have an edit button in the upper right - this should allow you to correct text and title, if it was the first one.

I found several more of his early work that might not fit where he is now. He's another that does not disappoint.

I've appreciated all the works of his that I've read. He does have a real gift.

There is an early story he wrote that does not fit the guidelines of this site. When he posted "Adam Conquers Earth" on Nifty, two of the main characters were under 16. When he posted it on IOMFAtS, Timmy made him increase their ages to 16, which is the legal age of consent for same-sex sexual contact with adults in the UK. He rewrote the story and made it a better story at the same time. At least one of his other stories would not fit the guidelines of this site. although it is a good story. Several other stories would fit here.
His works more recently have been within the guidelines of this site. However, I think the C James on Gay Authors is not the Chris James of IOMFAtS or Awesomedude or Tarheel Writer, though I am not sure of that.

When I first saw this thread I seemed to recall a story of his on another site that had an intergenerational relationship that I thought was way out of line but when I looked I could not find that story. Was thinking perhaps I was mistaken about who the author was.

i appears to me now that the C James on GA might not be the same one that is on the other sites. They have some of the same stories posted but the GA site doesnt have any of the same ones. Even if they are two different people, each of them are great authors.

The IOMFAtS version has them at 16, legal age of consent in the UK. I have read at least one story that fits your description other than the original version of A C E; there might have been more when he was posting on Nifty. Good writer.

I found another Chris James story on Nifty, looking in the last 30 minutes, where the boy is 14 and the man about 30. It is titled "Hitch-Hiking Can be Dangerous. In fact, several of his stories fall in the "Adult-Youth" category of Nifty. Holding my cursor over the titles of the stories reveal that at least one third of his Nifty stories are "Adult-Youth," a category on Nifty I ceased liking some years back when I figured that one party was exploiting the other, whether it was the older taking advantage of the younger, or vice versa. However he stopped posting on Nifty some years back. He is a good writer, but I don't care for some of the subject matter, and that is from my personal point of view.

The stories of his I remember for sure are not of that genre at all. The one I was questioning earlier whether it was his or not, and I still honestly don't know, was on that very active site run out of the UK that I won't name. I didn't finish it because as soon as it became evident it was going to be intergenerational I dodged out quick. I just remember that the kid in the story was a violin player in an orchestra. Could well have been a different author altogether on that one. Still, "disheartening" doesn't really begin to describe the feeling for me having been victimized in that way when I was a kid.

I use that term to describe my feelings about that writer choosing that genre, if it's who I thought it could be. I don't approve of those stories, unless they end more as they should, because they are inevitably unbalanced in power. The older person has the money, the home, the job and transportation, not to mention is likely more mature and smarter. The child can be manipulated and used - overpowered, even. There is also the hater line that gay's are pedo's, and these kinds of things only reinforce negative stereotypes.

The Chris James on IOMFAtS is the same one as on the Nifty and Awesomedude and Tarheel Writer sites. The majority of intergenerational stuff is on Nifty. The C James on GA is not the same person, I am almost sure.
