I'm really liking both stories. I like that characters from different stories are mixing and mingling in these stories.
I like to get to know a little more about each character and how they are doing after their original stories were completed. I really liked the Quantum characters Cameo, and the New House Old family characters cameo too.
I still like the SS characters and have to ask, Will we be finding out about how Micah and his housemates are doing. I'm curious about how Devyn is doing and if he is talking yet. I hope that if the original characters don't have featured stories that they can be mentioned in the new stories. If you can't tell, Micah and Devyn are my two favorite characters.
Thank you for your efforts in crafting these stories. I am in awe of your ability to create a universe that so many people enjoy.

Bloom chapter 2 isn't loading. Its link reverts to chapter 1.

Not sure what the issue is for you, Wales. I opened two successfully from Firefox on my desktop and Chrome on my phone. It's there.

Timeline wise we aren't supposed to see anything from Devyn until the holidays; I know folks were curious about his voice. I had started something to update on the guys up at college, but got sidetracked by Bloom and now another smaller project.

I was also curios about Devyn. Not mute no more, limited speech.

What Quantum character(s) have a cameo in what story?

I really enjoyed "Bloom". Having it all at one setting via Patreon is great and all, but the stories just end too soon. Or maybe I just need to learn to put them down a bit more often.

Sentence that stood out for me. "I can't even dream big the right way." Me neither. My cynical realist side follows me in my dreams. Case in point, The glass is not half full or half empty. The glass contents are half air and half water so the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
Love the story. I like his introspection. I also like the cameo characters.
Thank you.

I find myself in an unusual position here. Just started reading Bloom. Actually, I read it a few days ago, but had to think about it for I replied.
The unusual position is that I really don't like Hunter. He's vain and shallow, rather superficial. I ALWAYS like DaBeagle's characters. But I don't like Hunter. Even when little Phil was sending nasty text messages, I still had some empathy for him. I didn't feel the level of dislike for him as I do for Hunter.
He uses people for his own benefit and he doesn't feel bad about it. At the end of chapter 2 when Gary and his family walked into Hunter's store, normally you are rooting for the main character. With this story, I found myself kind of rooting for Gary.
I'm not sure where this story is going. Perhaps Hunter will have some major change in attitude and just the way he deals with other people. I don't know what is going to happen, but I can't wait to find out.
I hope you wrote him like this intentionally and will take this as a compliment because that's the way I mean it. I'm ready for more. Great story!

In a way that's disappointing. Someone on GA said something like he's an entitled sugar baby and he gave up on the story, going so far as to say he usually looked forward to my work, but he's skipping this.
All my characters have to go through an arc, and I think more often than not it involves change - perspective, situation, dealing with ones self. Hunter isn't happy. There are reasons for that that get reinforced later, but he has reasons for who he's become - as we all do. He thinks where he is has nothing to offer him and that he's done with it and has chosen to focus on things that bring him some enjoyment as opposed to the people around him that don't.
I hope more people give Hunter a chance - give Bloom a chance - because I think it's a really good story. I know, I wrote it, but I don't normally talk about how much I personally think a story is good or not, but I liked this one a lot.

Waiting for the answer to the question, “How is Dabeagle going to redeem this character?” is, for the moment, what's keeping me going on this story. Frankly, what Hunter is doing, both with his videos and his sugar-daddying, is not healthy behavior, psychologically speaking. But chapter three appears to suggest there are elements of a more caring and sensitive person lurking under the superficiality and poor decision-making exterior: seeing Gary's wife and children in person, rather than as an abstract concept he could rationalize away, rather turns Hunter's stomach.

For this story I spoke quite a bit with the fellow used in the image about the perception of Instagram and OnlyFans among younger people and how they see it fitting into their overall ideas of the world and achieving their goals. Some of Hunter's thought process were heavily influenced by those conversations. One day I may share them for those interested.

I never intended to disappoint you. Giving up on a story after the first few chapters is rather short-sighted. I love the story. I know how this story makes me feel. Perhaps I just can't express what I mean very well. :-)
Any well written story has characters that have the potential for growth. That's one thing you do very well.
I know this. I know that Hunter has a lot of room for improvement as a person. Just because I don't like the person he is at the moment, doesn't mean I think he will stay this way. I don't think there are many of us who would like to go back to the way we were at 17. I know I am not the same person I was when I was 17, and damned good thing too! I feel like I'm rambling here. I guess my point is, don't be upset by anything that I wrote on here. I am a crappy writer who can't say what I mean. That's why I leave the writing to people like you!
I had all of these fragments of ideas in my head to comment on, and now I can't think of half of them. Just know that I love the story and haven't given up on Hunter.
