I know what these are and have used them back when. Growing up, this was THE ONLY phone in my house. It was on the back wall in the kitchen. Ours was Banana Yellow. Radio Shack had 15-foot-long color matching modular (Plug and Play hadn't been invented yet.) handset cords. I got one and installed it. My mother was so happy she could take the handset as far as her favorite chair in the living room and talk to her friends instead of standing in the kitchen. She was surprised how technology had changed. The previous house had one black tabletop phone on a party line. I was in 2nd grade then and remember it ringing all the time. We answered to 2 long rings and 1 short ring. You had to pick up the phone and see if anyone was talking before you could dial a call.
