I need to quit. Been telling myself that for decades now. I know it's no good, but I found it goes further now with the M.S. To try quitting something that has been a habit for 35 years. Not easy. I didn't have an excuse when I was in the hospital for 5 weeks. There was no smoking. I didn't miss it or anything. I finally get out and go to smoking again. May be 1/4-1/2 pack a day, but smoking regardless. I need to go cold turkey for this to be worth it. E-cigs, I have one but there is nothing like taking a drag on it to put a crimp on things because it's not the same as the real thing. Mine looks like a cig, but it's heavier. Not the same feel.
Meh, I'm damned if I do or don't.

I've kicked coke. I've kicked booze.
Both were EASIER than stopping smoking.
I read somewhere that nicotine is 150 times more addictive than heroin.
I thought it was just the anti-tobacco nuts just blowing smoke but it's true.

I can attest to that. I don't have any other bad habits, luckily. I was never a drinker but have a beer once in a blue moon. If you haven't had this smoking habit, you don't know how difficult it is. If you were a smoker and quit, you know how it is. I need to go cold turkey.

That'll kill me with a smile on my face. Did your better half ever quit?

2 days. Voluntarily. Not a captive of the hospital.

Almost a week now. Of course I want one, but do I get one? Not that desperate, yet.

Trying myself to quit by vaping. Just bought a new one few days ago and thou not total replacement it is reducing the number of actual cigs I smoke a day. The issue with quitting is it's half addiction and the other half habit. For some like Lugnutz it's the 35 year habit that is going to be the hardest to overcome. Not easy to walk away from anything that has been a part of your life for so long.

Good thing for me, the vaping is free. Coupons for product. Look up Mark Ten. Maybe my 5 week stay not smoking is a blessing. No real cravings. Yes, I want one. But do I need one? Nah.
Good luck on quitting.

2 weeks and smoke free. The desire is still there, but it's not strong. Maybe those 5 weeks off did some good.

Like a beer song from long ago. One is too many, and ten is not enough.
