Careful with those wet spots, Steve. They can be embarrassing. :-)

So Kale really does lead a charmed life: He's get Chase, a river cruise in Germany, a D810 always by his side, he's rubbing shoulders with international world leaders and rescuing orphans from Eastern Bloc countries. How does he manage all that when there aren't phone booths anymore to change in? This was a really interesting story. I'm especially surprised when Ryan brings out Alec's true caring nature, and show's what he's really thinking behind all the wisecracks, it was great that he had that idea for Sasha, and the result was far more than he ever imagined. I also sort of got a nagging impression that Mr. Preda might be more then just the chief of staff to the president... I'm just guessing but I also know what kind of closet romantic Ryan is with his stories . One detail I noticed, though, was Kale's phone getting stolen. Don't they have tracking Apps on their phones? Kale might want to follow up on that, so no personal info falls in the wrong hands.

It was established in Linc that Chase and Kale have tracking apps on their phones, but Chase did not bring his phone....

This is one of the best SS stories to date. I have went back and reread it 3 or 4 times to make sure i didnt miss anything and each time it brings tears to my eyes. I have came to love the SS series and wait eagerly each Sunday for the next installment. I cant wait to see what is in store for Nikki. Is he really gay or just perceived to be because of the incident that happened. I travel during the week and have the entire SS series saved on my laptop so that i can go back and reread the various stories at will. I have to admit this is not only so i can enjoy them again but so that i can remember how each character fits into the overall scheme of things. Keep up the good work guys.

I read Finding Niki within a day or so of its posting.
I liked it. I didn't think I was going to at first, but the more I read, the more I liked it.
I fiddled around in my head with a draft of a letter to Ryan, or a post here, thanking him for sharing his work and explaining why I had to warm up to this story (but how I did indeed come to like it a whole lot by the end).
No kidding.
But then tonight I logged in here to the message board for the first time in - what - a couple of weeks - only to learn that I fiddled around with those thoughts in my head for too long, and now it's too late.
I am sad that I waited, but I am thankful that I did get to thank him or some of his other pieces he shared. And I am thankful that he shared his work with us.

I think it's still worth while, as discussion, to talk about the things you liked and how you struggled to get into it to begin with. He was always a bear about criticism (claimed I made him cry) so, at least now he can't growl at you for it.

I think this a pivotal moment in the SS saga. New eyes lets you see their world as they see it. Like to see what may be next.
