Ah... I understand.
Well, still, Google Translate can at times be a trial! LOL

There was actually Russian spam there, in Cyrillic. It's been happening lately. I'm weeding them out as I see them with the Admin account. I happened by while the spam was still up and on a whim googled the address it linked to. From what Google showed me, it's pretty clear that whoever runs that site leans pretty heavily on comment spam. (And there are some strange web sites out there - the one I looked at from the second or third page of Google results looked like it might be an entry on a blog devoted to lepidopterology, specifically the tiger swallowtail on this page, except that the page had something like 1300 comments, and of the few I examined all appeared to be spam. Part of an SEO scam, perhaps?)

I might suggest the stories "William" and its sequel, "Liam," over at IOMfAtS.org which were written by Paul Jamison. They are a slower-paced set of two stories about a gay couple and the boys they nurture as temporary or permanent legal guardians. Some of the things they face with the kids (and after the first two or three chapters of "William" the teen boys are the main focus) include what might be considered everyday happenings and others include bulllying, a homophobic parent of a gay son, vehicle accidents, emergency child custody after parental death, and more. You can find the stories at: iomfats.org/storyshelf/hosted/jamison/

Thank you everyone for sharing stories you enjoyed - please don't be shy about continuing to do so! Okay, so I won't be shy. I read this story and I really liked it. It's hosted on the author's own site. He's most likely an author you've not previously come across, and yet this story was written in 1991 and he has a number of other stories. Before I get to the story, I'll explain the author is Italian, and writes in his mother tongue. However, a number of his stories are translated into French and English (not always perfectly). With this particular story I lent a helping hand to tidy up the English translation (I truly believed it merited a better English version).
The story is set in Catalonia, a province of North Eastern Spain which has it's own culture and language. The title gives the town name, Sitges (one of the world's gay capitals), it is on the coast next to Barcelona. The main protagonist becomes a hustler, this is the life he both falls into and chooses. But the story is less about the life of a prostitute than it is about a search for love by a boy trying to find his way through life and to find himself.
Chapter One, the Prologue, sets the scene, but do read on to Chapter Two, which picks up the story from the beginning. This is, in my humble opinion, a story that merits a read, not simply because it's a good story, but also because it has the whole flavour of a European (non-English) writing style along with a true to life description of a little (gay) corner of Europe. It is well told, elegant, and never gross, but make you own mind up (I'd love to hear what you think, as of course the author would).
The King of Sitges by Andrej Koymasky - hosted on the author's website.

Here is a great story I'm reading. If you like a real story that's well written, a clever tale of a crime that shatters life at the famous University of Cambridge, turning the protagonist into a sleuth in the best tradition of Holmes and other British detectives, then take a look. You won't be disappointed. It's actually written by an American author and is definitely a huge cut above your average online story. A Cantabrian Operetta

Ton of them. Not sure what they think they are getting. If this keeps up I may have to limit posting to members for a bit.
