I'm looking to farm out some help in getting the rest of the stories on the site coded in the new format, so they will all be nice and cleaned up.
The job isn't tough, just tedious. I'll create the home pages, all I really need is for the individual chapters to be re-coded. What's involved? Glad you asked.
For the most part it's a simple copy/paste. You take the text file (word doc, odt file, etc) and place a <p> at the beginning of each paragraph and a </p> at the end of each. These are called opening and closing tags. What I will do is copy those into another template that has the rest of the details for that chapter (the css it calls to, email, etc).
Now, if you have a favorite story or author that you'd like to take care of - since I do announce when these older stories get a facelift and they get a little bump then - by all means, let me know. But beware some old stories, like Short Game, have some odd display properties because the original file is so, so old.
My old ones need to be re-edited because a lot of the early ones weren't, so that's an added entanglement.
Thanks in advance for any hardy volunteers!

I can always use a little help, it's just me and whomever can help periodically :-)

If you have a story that needs <p> paragraph breaks added, just send it to me. If you want any other code added, I can do that at the same time. An example might help make sure I get it right, but that is not necessary if it's only paragraph breaks. Any story, I have no preferences.
