Dave, I prefer to check the message board. However, a close second would be group email, That can be complicated by spam filters, however. Some spam filters automatically block any email with EIGHT BCCs or more. Some block certain domains (formulas vary on what causes a blocked domain). Some block certain types of content (again, formulas vary).
Facebook is another problem. Many persons are not on Facebook. Many on Facebook might not know about your Facebook site, or be friends with you on Facebook.
Many of us are not on Twitter, for one or more reasons.
As far as "Other" goes, not sure what that would entail. Smoke signals? ESP? Magic? Telepathy?
I am aware some might forget to check the message board. Not me-- I love the stories and the site too much! In fact, one of my favorite authors has read the entire Sanitaria Springs lineup, and is eagerly reading "Fearless" because I suggested he might like it, after he asked me where he could read Ryan Bartlett's stuff when I sent him some quotes. He read all of Ryan's stories, then yours and Cynus's, after I suggested that he would like all of the SS stories, not just Ryan's. (By the way, JohnInLex and Israfil, he wants more SS stories from you, too).
Dave, and the other authors, please keep on with the good work.

I had a Yahoo email group once, so it's all I'm familiar with. With Facebook, I regularly see numbers in the single digits in terms of people reached so I was wondering if folks are missing out or if there is a better way to notify them, especially with all the ways there are to contact people. That's why the 'other' in case there was something not listed. In addition to that, while postings have been regular, I have been a little erratic about being on time. Additionally, with the posting of Fearless 11 this week, I won't have any serial stories left to post. It'll be SS for a month or so and nothing else. Given that, I thought I'd see if there are better ways to let folks know the site updated. I'm glad your friend found so much to enjoy, that's always welcome news.

My first choice is through Facebook. I see the Facebook notifications most of the time. A group e-mail would be my second choice, although sometimes I don't always check my e-mail every day.

Here and Facebook. I ventured there a year ago to promote my Gofundme page but got a lot more. GFM is sidelined and I'm reading posts there I can understand.
