Once in a while folks talk about wanting to create in Sanitaria Springs, which is incredibly humbling. Seriously, you have no idea. So if you're thinking about that, I want to put down a few things that may let you plan.
A.) Send me an email or PM and let me know about your idea. There are a few reasons for this:
1) There may be ideas currently in the works for a character you're thinking of writing.
2) Timeline issues. Depending on when you planned to set that story, it may affect others currently in development or it may not jive with stories already posted.
B.) I'm glad to talk your story to death as part of planning, as my time allows. I think it's good for the creative process to discuss, even argue a bit about the things we want to do and why.
C.) When you write, please be aware I'm going to be tough on your chapter. I'm not trying to be a dick, honestly. When I critique it's to help improve the story and I do my best to be tactful, at least until we know each other well enough that you won't be offended at my brand of 'humor'.
D.) I recently acquired the services of two very able beta readers. I am pleased to ask them if they'd consider reading and commenting on your work, especially later in the development cycle because the more I read the same story, the less effective I become.
E.) There are some characters that are 'dead-ended' right now for a variety of reasons. If you find a character that resonates with you, please check with me about potential plans for that character.
F.) Keep in mind that Crispin Wolfe goes to a different school than the boys in SS, so that may present options for you. That is also the case with Noel, Chris, Declan and Corbin - who could attend the same or a close by school with respect to Eric, in the Binghamton area.
G.) The Wiki is a great resource, and my thanks to JohnInLex who has been instrumental in creating it, and to Pedro for maintaining and adding in a family tree.
H.) Don't be afraid to try. I'm here to help.
