On another thread there was a discussion about how writers can get feedback on their work for the purposes of improving that work. I won't rehash the thread except to lay down some ground rules and let you folks have at it.
Writers: Copy/Paste a portion of your work in a new thread. Please do not post a book or the complete works of X. I'm not limiting you but the purpose of this forum is for people to read a sample of what you're working on and give you feedback. If you have specific questions of the reader/reviewer then please add those at the beginning of your work.
Readers/Reviewers: Please comment on the work provided in a constructive fashion. Writers must expect criticism, whether positive or negative, so I only ask that you remember a person is on the other side of the words you're reading. You have the ability to fan the flames of a fledgling writer or snuff them out; use that wisely.
