So a little bit ago I asked for suggestions concerning what readers would like to see next from me. There were a few SS suggestions and I know I have a few stories that will satisfy a few of those requests, yet they are in progress. Those of you on the FB page may have seen the image I posted a week or so ago of a young man whose photo, it turned out, had been used to sell underwear. I frequently use an image or a mental scene to form the basis for a story. In this case, I began with the image as a physical basis for the character and then I had an idea for a scene I wanted to write - and the story kind of got out of hand from there. It took me over 60 pages to arrive at the scene I had wanted to write. Then a beta reader, very important piece of my writing process, made a couple of suggestions and the thing has ballooned out to 11 chapters. I has just come back from another beta read and some excellent points were raised that I shall set about addressing. There is yet another beta putting their eye to it before it hits the first of two rounds of editing. It will be called 'You Don't Know Me.'
Second, and perhaps more to the title of this post, the initial draft of Things We Found is in the hands of its first beta reader. I expect it will take a few more weeks before either of these begins to post - I suspect TWF to have issues that I will have to address, creatively speaking.
