There is a very good author on IOMfAtS dot org (IOMfAtS stands for It's Only Me from Across the Sea) named Geron Kees. Dave/Dabeagle, Geron's stories would fit very well with Dabeagle dot com / net / org goals of positive teen stories of LGBTQ youth. Geron writes in some series (A Charmed Life (a series about growing up on New York State), Charlie Boone (a really good holiday themed series), Mooi (which takes place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands), Tales of the Road (a car series), The Odd, Onward Door (my personal favorite, light science fiction), and his newest-- "Z is for Zombie" (science fiction and adventure-- a very different take on zombies), as well as 15 short stories (so far). Geron also publishes some of those on story lover dot us and most of them on GayAuthors dot org and a few of them on Nifty. Several of his shorts were written in responses to challenges to write a story about a particular picture (called "Writing Challenges" by the owner of IOMfAtS, Timmy). All the shorts I have read have been good to great quality. The most complete selection of stories by Geron Kees is found at: iomfats.org/storyshelf/hosted/geron-kees/ and I would recommend starting with some of the short stories. They can be read in any order, with one exception-- "Thrift Shop Nation" should be read BEFORE "The Second Time Around."

I'll second this recommendation. I recently read his story ROYGBV, which is one of the writing challenge stories and which I recommend highly. The challenge was to write a story inspired by the image below:

Yes, ROYGBV is an excellent story, found at: iomfats.org/storyshelf/hosted/geron-kees/shorts/roygbv.htmlAnother good story from that same picture challenge: "Independence Day" by Victor Thomas. It is found at: iomfats.org/storyshelf/hosted/victor-thomas/shorts/independence-day.html and while Victor Thomas is not yet as polished a writer as Geron Kees, all of his stories at IOMfAtS so far deal with the same small town in Kansas which is set as being less than an hour from Joplin, Missouri, and less than an hours from Pittsburg, Kansas. Every one of was written in response to a picture challenge or other writing challenge set by Timmy, webmaster at IOMfAtS.

I've followed Geron Kees for quite a few years now - love his work and he is very prompt responding to emails- we have had numerous exchanges(aka me gushing over his work)I really appreciate being able to connect with an author "in person" as much as I imagine they like to hear from their readers.

I have enjoyed both Geron's work and the emails we have exchanged. I've tried to talk him onto writing the SS universe but he has many other projects going on - but maybe one day.

It would be great if your invitation were to be accepted, Dab. But he appears to be busy writing his Charlie Boone stories these days, and, as anyone who reads Geron's work knows, his stories aren't exactly short!

Not short, but not rambling either. My experience with his writing is that it's very sleek - everything fits. It's remarkable.

Geron Kees now has 22 "Charlie Boone" stories, and and one "Pacha'ka Adventure" in the same universe.
Another great series by him is "The Odd, Onward Door" series.
An interesting story is a short novel or long novella in 16 parts called, "Z is for Zombie." But these zombies are nothing like what you see in movies or on television. Read it and see.
The easiest way to read them is on IOMfAtS dot org, select "Story Shelf" from the menu on the left, scroll down to Geron Kees (alpha by last name) and click to see the stories.
Geron also has a large number of short stories. All are worth reading. Of course, some are good, the rest are great. There are some short stories that are not available yet on Gay Authors.
The advantage of reading the Charlie Boone stories on IOMfAtS is that you can start with the first Charlie Boone story and read continuously, and not have to worry about finding the next story in the series. The advantages of reading the later Charlie Boone stories on Gay Authors is the comments from readers.
