The actor's name is Joshua Rush, and the kid is a badass. Read why - here.

What an awesome kid!
It always bothers me when I hear my contemporaries lamenting how terrible today's children are. It seems to be a stupid and senseless habit that geezers pick up somewhere between age 18 and age 35 or so. It definitely shows a lack of intellect or at least the failure to use one's intellect. It also shows a willful ignorance or willingness to actually look around and observe the world they live in.
I find the current generation of young people to be outstripping their progenitors when it comes to loving and caring for their fellow man. The sense of right and wrong, the sense of social justice seems to be so much more established, if a bit idealized, than it ever was among the geezer set.

I think we forget that children, by and large, are selfish from the start and have to be taught things like sharing. Empathy has to be modeled at an early age or they struggle to grasp the concept. I don't know if this young actor had a script from a manager, if his response was canned from a professional or he responded himself. I don't know about his background, his family or what they may have tried to teach him as he got older - but what he said...kid makes a movie, I'll pay to see it.

Certainly he could well have been managed in his response, and that's okay. I would expect that a major studio would train their stars on appropriate response, so yeah, you could well be right.
My observations are mostly based on the teenagers and young adults that I know. I've got a large, extended, and close knit family. We have always been very communicative on current events and societal issues. We get together for holidays and such, There are many teenagers among our extended family group. Nephews, nieces, even great nieces and nephews, and their girlfriends, boyfriends, and just friends. I am always amazed watching and listening to them as they relate to their world and express themselves and their views on such things as social justice and caring for their fellow man and each other. They're damn good kids.
