It's been a big year here and at home. As with previous years, some good and some bad - life happened.
For The Doghouse, we've moved servers twice, leaving behind the free home we've had for so long and paying for a new home with a few amenities. The site email works appropriately and we have been updating much more regularly. I got in contact with some of our authors and encouraged them to pick up their pens again - and I hope to have some of their works in the new year.
I also heard from an old friend who I've hosted for a while, who is doing well and it was such a great message from the blue.
We've also seen a resurgence in posting and creativity for me, which has been personally great. Teaming with someone has kept the flow of ideas rolling along like it hasn't before - I miss messenger services! These things sure do allow for the free exchange of ideas and building plot lines to the point that Ryan Bartlett and I wrote an entire book - nearly 200 pages - in about ten days. Ryan and I have developed a good working relationship and our opposing viewpoints have helped in making the work better.
I also indulged myself in writing more about characters I love and that leads me into things that are coming in the new year. There are two more Sanitaria stories coming from me with a follow on from Ryan that will end up with us in a bold new place. Our new story will begin posting after we are done picking it over and fixing items - it is still with a beta reader as well. The only thing I will reveal is the name - Toy Soldiers - and that it's coming soon, and is a multi-chapter story that is complete. Additionally final revisions are being done even now for the book version of Wayward Son. We have a potential launch date, but I'm keeping that a tad under wraps for the moment.
Personally, we had two foster children this year and had our second full year with our son. We both have our health and continue to be gainfully employed in places we are both happy with. This coming year I plan to lose weight and make major financial gains in getting out of debt. My weight loss project I will detail here, but first I need to find an accurate scale - mine is broken.
I also began posting, in addition to AwesomeDude, at Gay Authors in order to find new and old readers, and that has been largely successful. It's a little bit of a Renaissance here, let's hope it can be kept going.
Today, please be safe and my many wishes to you for a safe, happy new year.
