I have not - what's the flavor of the stories?

I think I read the first one around the time it was posted. I've just started rereading it, and it's familiar enough that I'm certain I've read it before, but it's been long enough that I have no idea what's coming next. "The Eye of the Storm" references the protagonist's experience of his first hurricane after a move from the Northeast to Florida that involved considerable conflict with his parents and separation from his first boyfriend. I don't think I've read the rest of the stories, but I think I'll probably read on when I get to the end of "chapter" 1.

dgt224 sums up the first tale pretty well. I don't want to spoil the surprise in the second tale, but it is not all smooth sailing for Steven. The thing was, for me, when I read the first two stories, I felt as if Steven's struggles could really have been happening to a real person. There were some very helpful adults in Steven's life - if only all kids could have the same! I read them all when they first came out on IOMFATS. I've started re-reading them and am halfway through tale #3 as of this moment.
Anyhow, I remember really thinking highly of them a few years ago. I was pleased all over again when I stumbled across them again yesterday.
