As i posted about on the Facebook page, I've been a fan of the Foster's since it started and Jude has been one of my favorite characters. He was 'coded' gay early on, with some of his backstory how he'd been punished for wearing women's clothes at a young age and his periodic habit of painting his fingernails blue. The writers and the actor were both coy about his future, but his arc is one I've watched with interest - wishing it were around when I was a kid. Chris Colfer broke ground with his popular but stereotypical Kurt Hummel, and this is the next logical step. Two guys, neither of them stereotypical, working through these feelings and trying the kiss on for size. Now, don't get me wrong. Chris Colfer's character was huge. My issue was that the character was someone a segment, one usually used for laughs, could relate to and be empowered by - and that's a necessity. Connor and Jude's relationship comes from a different angle, one where you have to 'average' guys who are trying to figure these things out - without being forced out due to 'fem' behaviors. I can't wait for this season to hit Netflix, you won't see me for a few days then. But check this out here, and chime in!

Seen this yesterday. Too bad this wasn't around 35 years ago.
