I have to admit at first I started slow on this book. We start with our artsy hero Blaine who is rushing to meet his all-world boyfriend Joey at a fancy restaurant for their one year anniversary. Joey is quickly shown to be the villain, dumping our hero and telling him that Joey needed a 'serious guy'. Blaine decides the best thing to do to win Joey back is to become a serious guy and win the race for class president. Along the way Blaine has his friends, his favorite coffee house and his Aunt Starr. The story was more fun later in, but in the end I ended up wanting to know more about Zach - maybe the author will write something about him?
