There have been a handful of gay superheroes, but I've always thought they were kind of lame. Green Lantern was one of my all time favorites, so I was kind of excited when I heard they were making him gay - then I found out they were going the whole 'alternate universe thing' on me. I felt the same way when J.J. Abrams rewound Star Trek. So, now there is a new one in the pipeline. What do you guys think of this fellow and the new approach?

He looks like a leather daddy in a cape. The gay superhero I created was far more wholesome though I do have one playing in the back of my mind that's a bit more gritty. What I'd like to see in a gay superhero is a regular guy, not some flaming queen or gay crusader but someone like the vast majority of us. Someone who goes about his life, does what he needs to do and yes, happens to be gay. Show being gay for what it is, perfectly normal.

Needs to be a Joe six pack working class type. Not a Queen in a cape.
