My last conversation with the author was that he was finishing up a degree. I'll have to go look at how long ago that was and poke him if it's been a while - but I encourage you to let him know you love it! I agree, it's a fascinating, well written story,

I came across this story via The Talon House and started reading it after having read a couple of reviews/comments. I'm approaching the end? I have been reading the book here, because the link was to this site, although it is also posted on Nifty.
I find it fascinating that an author could start a novel in 2004 and still be posting chapters, the last three in 2020, spanning a period of sixteen years. I wonder, as someone commented, is the story complete? I skipped to the last chapter, but those words - The End, do not appear. I'll get there soon, reading the story, and find out.
From what I have discovered, searching the net, Devon Keene has only written this one book.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone who has more info on the book and author. It is, irrespective of any short comings, a considerable achievement and a very good Sci-fi story.

I'm looking at Nifty, although I read the story here. www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/sf-fantasy/enigma-of-flatness/On Nifty chapters are listed with date of publication. 2004 first eleven chapters 1 - 11 2005 four chapters 12 - 15 2006 three chapters 16 - 18 2007 one chapter 19 2008 one chapter 20 2010 two chapters 21 - 22 2011 three chapters 23 - 25 2012 four chapters 26 - 29 2020 three chapters 30 - 32 You have all 32 chapters. Now I have reached chapter 32 it is evident the story continues, although I don't find it a huge problem that it is not finished. I did have a question as to how the title relates to the story, but that gets answered, at least to some extent towards the last chapters, not sure in which chapter, I think chapter 29 or 30. I did write to the author, but his email address no longer exists. Too bad, I was unable to tell him how much I enjoyed the story.
