An old story from the 1960s.
The professor from the local university was charged with running a red light. When asked why, he went into a long explanation of Doppler Shift, making him see red as green. The judge listened, said to the prosecutor, "Okay, we can let him out of this ticket, if we write him a speeding ticket for the speed he would be going to see red as green, remembering that it is $5 for mile per hour over the speed limit, plus court costs..." The professor interrupted and said, "Let's not make extra paperwork! I'll take the ticket for running a red light!"
You would have to be going 34,114 per hour to see red as green. The fine would $179,570 + court costs.
