I agree with both comments above. But, although MASH originally aired September 1972 to February 1983 and was in syndication for years, it is still available on HULU and TV Land. It is still getting positive reviews. Granted the reviews are mostly old farts reminiscing, but maybe younger people are seeing it for the first time. Stranger things have happened!

I did too.
Sorry... anecdote coming.
The thing that caught my attention most was the PA system announcements in the episodes. We had a PA system in my company area in Vietnam. One day several months in to my tour, the announcement to the effect "Attention in the company area..." telling me to report to the orderly room, blasted all over the company area. I didn't have any idea why. Several things were going through my head, worst of which was death in the family. When I got there I was directed to report to the CO. I was told by my CO that my mother had called! We didn't have telephones! Mom made it to the Army's Saigon operated who promised to deliver a message to me. The message was conveyed by my CO! Your mother is worried as she hasn't heard from you in long time. Sit down over there on the couch and write her a letter... now. And send her when once week from now on!
That was bad enough, but now everybody I knew wanted to know what I had done to be summoned to the Orderly Room. I told them the truth and got teased for being the ultimate mommas boy for days.
Anecdote over. Continue your normal reading.
