Dave, thanks for another great story. I really liked it. So may witty things in it. So many funny situations (basement). New and different characters. If it weren't for a personal experience of being asked, because of my size, to block an office doorway while a junior office with an aluminum foil hat and ear plugs was ... counseled about his attire I might not have believed in the characters. But, I did have the experience and then was asked to accompany the senior officer and the junior officer to appropriate facilities.
I usually have a favorite sentence each story. This time I have three.
1. “Oh. Right. Start again. I wasn't ready.”
2. “Really? All twelve inches?”
3. Kind of makes you think about the whole idea of calling someone a pussy to say they are weak.
The last one reminded me of who was attributed with a similar thought. I was not expecting that from her.

I want a Reece for myself. Sounds like he would be epic to give cuddles to after Leo introduced him to how to cuddle.
They might have the strongest relationship yet, after being best friends for ever they can openly admit that they need each other.
Hopefully there aren't real people like Fiona, although considering i know a genuine anti vaxxer who believes the vaccines are programmed to rewrite our DNA and literally believes the earth is flat, i guess the paranoia fual is out there.

I want a Reece for myself. Sounds like he would be epic to give cuddles to after Leo introduced him to how to cuddle. They might have the strongest relationship yet, after being best friends for ever they can openly admit that they need each other. Hopefully there aren't real people like Fiona, although considering i know a genuine anti vaxxer who believes the vaccines are programmed to rewrite our DNA and literally believes the earth is flat, i guess the paranoia fual is out there. See my original comment above. Sadly there are people out there with issues/beliefs like or worse than Fiona. The person I mentioned was committed for 30 days observation. He wore the aluminum foil hat and ear plugs to stop "Them" from sending signals to his brain. He was determined to be competent/non-threatening and was released from the Pysch Ward and discharged from the service. I saw him once in the office at work a day or two after he was released. He wanted to be reimbursed for his car being towed from the commercial parking lot near headquarters and impounded while he had been "detained." I never saw him again.
Or I could give you my ex-daughter-in-laws phone number and she could explain the Christian Adoption Agencies evil plans or why not to buy commercially processed foods from regular grocery stores. But she'd probably want to tell you Fiona is right and who "THEY" are and why "THEY" are doing what "THEY" are doing.
Oh. And I agree that Leo and Reece might have the strongest relationship yet.

I know a guy who said that the earth is flat because when he stood by a one hundred foot wild lake, it looked flat, so that "proved" the earth was flat. He used to post flat earth stuff all the time on FB, but lately he has backed off. He was not taught that way, and even his former pastor preached the earth was round because the Bible says something about the sphere of the earth. Oh, well, takes all kinds. I could say more, but there is no reason to do so. |
