This is written for a tween/teen audience and the storytelling shows it. There is an interesting premise with very little in the way of character development. As we move through the story the title comes to pass in a way I'd expect for a Y.A. novel, but then it ends in a very unsatisfying way as a cheap method to move to the next book...Dead at Seventeen. I was honestly doing okay with thi8s book until it hit the end, then I was just frustrated and felt like I'd been fooled. I won't be buying the sequels.
