I can guess one story which would have fit the controversy, but I have a hunch it was a different one. Be that as it may, I am glad that the majority of the Sanitaria Springs stories are here now.

I have read a lot of stories over at AD, but not all of them, or even close to all of them. However, I was recently re-reading the stories of one particular author, and found a series in which I knew one chapter had content that would not be found here, and found something I'd forgotten: a SECOND chapter in the same series also going against the values of this board. (Dabeagle, I appreciate your stance regarding pederasty and pedophiles. I don't think those subjects should be glorified or encouraged in any way.) Yes, some of the stories in the Sanitaria Springs associated stories are easier and more fun to read than others. For example, Super Model by Ryan Bartlett is a very fun story. Must Love Books by Dabeagle is mostly fun, even though it makes serious points as well. The Bearded Bromance has a lot of fun in it. See the Sanitaria Springs Page for links to these stories at www.dabeagle.com/Sanitaria_Springs.html for links. Almost every story has at least a FEW fun parts. Many, however concentrate on serious issues─ and that is okay. All of you, please keep up the good work.

Although Ryan and I disagree about a great many things (I liken us sometimes to the disagreements of Gilbert and Sullivan, though I really hope we don't grow to hate each other) we do tend to agree with the idea of rooting a lot of the series in reality. I always try to put a note of hope, a potential for change into stories and, in the case of SS, Ryan definitely does too - especially where we tackle tough subjects.
I feel pretty confident in speaking for us both when I say we've grown to love our characters like real people, and thus, want the best for them. However, 'into each life a little rain must fall' and so, they do not lead perfect lives. Instead they have their insecurities, their strengths and weaknesses and their tragedies and triumphs. I like to think of this series more as a dramedy, which is more like real life.
I can also say that Ryan and I both have major issues with glorifying that kind of relationship, and portraying it in a positive light is just that. While there are many fine stories there and some friends who I'm sorry to have left behind - heartily sorry - it is what it is.

It ends up that one story will feed the other. I have work to do.
