This is the second book I've read and reviewed by this author. The upside is it's fun and looks at things from a different point of view - the bad guy is slain, one of our hero's is king and that's where we find them. The question is always what comes next? What exactly is happily ever after? The books does read a bit younger/simpler in some ways to me, although the only real tiresome part was that the leads both secretly like each other, but there are things making each think the other doesn't. Throw in a curse on the new king, a staff that can't believe this group of morons are now in charge (funny) and you have an easy read that is entertaining as long as you aren't expecting too much.
