Just got done reading Conversations 3 this morning and absolutely loved it!
Not going to give away (?) spoilers here, but it's like 3 separate stories. The only one I wish had a bit of a 'conclusion' to, what what happened to 'revenge' enacted on the homophobe family...?
And the last chapter, was worth the wait. Hope to read more soon...love the SS gang
big hugs - John

Great stories. First one is a sad/happy story that I really liked. Second one was interesting, and I too wonder what happened when the Umm... pranks were discovered.
And a big thank you for the 3rd story. Some of us have been waiting a long time for that one and it was worth the wait. The reveal to "The Family" was great!
Technical note. The story opens with a broken link to the picture, that appears on the front page.

Damn you! Making me cry again. I was pretty sure what was coming and cried anyway. Thanks for another winner!

I'm glad to hear people are enjoying the stories. I sometimes like to chase down tangetial characters like the first story, and yes Neal I know you've been asking for that final story for along, long time. I'm glad you weren't disappointed when it arrived.

To quote Lawrence Welk, "Wunnerful, wunnerful!"
Loved all of the conversations. When do we get "Conversations 4?"

I'd like to know how Matei is doing. How is his immigration application going? Also, I'm confused about Deyn's studies. Is he in a trade school for automotive repair or college studies for something else? Oh, and what about Tim and his question about kissing a boy? Thanks for asking.

I would like to see us catch up with Doug Kutsenko, Alec's dad. Perhaps in a conversation with Ted Kutsenko, Doug's brother, introduced in "Rainbow's End," by the late Lugnutz. I would also like to see a conversation from Andrew Kirkwood, father of Kale, Robin, Sean Kelly, and Jamie, and catch up on how Sean, Jamie, and Asher are doing. And Devyn's studies --I agree with Neal on that one. Another possibility -- Dale Kennedy, Devyn's dad. He has changed a lot, and for the better, with the SS stories. All of Neal's suggestions are good.

Good suggestions, guys - we'll see what happens after I get this other story done. Slow going, still around 30 pages right now.

I haven't forgotten that you have a life, a family, a job, a Quantum, some broken clocks and a universe. I don't mind if the SS Universe is at the end of your list of priorities. Take care of yourself. I, and many others, appreciate your stories and thank you for them. (P. S. I really liked Devyn's reveal)

Haha, I know you'd been asking for that reveal for a long time. Time is always the tough part - I've barely touched the Quantum, had to clean out the garage first. A new opportunity at work finally materialized and I got the job. Funny thing (not really) my company has 'minimum' rates of pay for positions. They didn't want to pay me the minimum in my promotion, and I discovered I was about 18k under 'minimum' in my old position. If I do well, I'll be at 'minimum' for the new position by January.
I do think about stories a lot, and I do have the current one mapped to a point in my head, but other ideas intrude. Thank goodness for the people that have helped with the site - Darrell has gone through and updated (and given a consistent re-edit, since many stories were edited by different folks) all the SS stories so they all read with the same colors and options. He's working his way through others and I think that consistency is ideal. Rob continues to tinker and improve the site with the launch of the new homepage - and it's a relief because if I had to work on the site as well, who knows what I'd not get done!

Dave, Congratulations on the new position and pay rate. My fingers are crossed that it goes as expected for you. I don't think I knew of or appreciated the "Others" involved in keeping this forum running as great as it does. Thank you, Darrell and Rob, for your efforts and contributions to this forum.

Yes on the Dale Kennedy and Tim French suggestions. Tim's line at the end of C2 was a flat out cliffhanger and loose end. And you did a LOT of development work on Dale in Muttley, which is a top-10 SS story for me, I think.
Sean interacting with Riley and Bryce a bit feels like a natural next.
And how about a Carlo Casatelli conversation? An update on how he's getting on in high school would be cool, and maybe could even become a bridge between Micah and Isaac.
I really liked that conversation between Isaac and Brandon early in UnValentine's Day in which Isaac is thinking through whether he has abandonment issues, and whether that might be affecting his relationship with Marshall.
That made me think of parallels to Hamster's life. Has he slipped into very-monogamous and very-loyal to Derek in a rejection of his Mom's sluttyness? Derek is an absolute cinnamon-roll, but does Hamster he reflect on whether he wants to know more about Terry, or think about his Mom? You showed us early on that Hamster's a reader and a thinker, so what's he thinking about these days?

ooh Crossover mayhem idea! Isaac takes Carlo Casatelli to Hunter (from Bloom) to get some shirts.

Not sure how Isaac would know Carlo to take him shopping.
I have notes for several possible Conversations/shorts. Due to timing I plan to try and get one from Marshall's POV for a Halloween story. I have notes for a Tim French story, one from Matei's POV, one from Tristan Malone's POV and one that may come from Micah.
I dont have any solid ideas for Doug Kutsenko, Andrew Kirkwood or Dale Kennedy as of yet; I also don't have something in mind for Sean/Riley/Bryce. Hamster may be easier to sketch some notes on, but just to keep you guys in the loop.
