This book is by Nic Sheppard and Jenson Titus - there wasn't enough character space in the subject line for the book title and the authors.
Humor is a subjective thing. I read a book before that I reviewed called Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall. Literally had me stopping to laugh out loud, no kidding. His (or her) second book whose name I don't recall was possibly meant to be funny, but I didn't connect with and slogged through it rather than enjoying it.
I'm not sure what I expected from this book, but it's disappointing. The humor is all about injecting a gay reference and making things up about historical events to include something silly and forgettable and utterly ridiculous. Ridiculous can be funny, but I didn't find that at all for this book - my second from my list that I won't get through. I'm not even sure it's meant to be read through rather than sat on a coffee table for random people to flip through when you excuse yourself to hit the bathroom or what. Sometimes a side character in a story will pop up and they provide a needed bit of silliness that is endearing and scene stealing, but wouldn't work for a full length production. It's like a seasoning, these characters, and if you overdo it then they lose their shine and become tedious. That's this book - what could be mildly amusing or needed in context, but all run together into a single production that grows tiresome. I can't recommend this book, unfortunately.
