This story moves us in an exciting direction. One thing that is certain with life is that there will be situations that you just can't plan for. In life, it can make headaches or unexpected moments of joy depending on the circumstances and how we react to them. On the page, it makes for drama and fun - both of which we got from this story. It's a great addition to Sanitaria Springs and provides so many opportunities.
Don't forget to tell the author what you think, email links are at the top of each chapter. Of course you can talk about it here and don't forget to like us on Facebook!

Ryan, great story. I have a hunch that Linc will spice up the college years of Chase and Kale quite a bit. Have they thought about babysitting when they are both in class? I have a hunch that Austin and Derek will end up being close to Linc and might get to babysit him once in a while. But Sean and Jamie seem to like him quite well also. In a previous story, it was mentioned that Robin had "done things" with girls and enjoyed it before Charlie and Lucien came into his life; surely another child, a girl maybe, won't show up to complicate the lives of Robin and Lucien? Maybe Andrew needs to give condom lessons to Jamie and Sean? A great short story would be for Kale and Chase to show up at church the Sunday following Thanksgiving, surprising people as a married couple with a child? Any writer want to tackle that one? It is an idea for free!

Thanks Paul, Chase and Kale are pretty well set with a babysitter as you'll see in the next story. Keep your eyes open for Super Model, coming soon. Don't worry about Robin, the only thing he ever did with girls was kiss. As for the guys showing up at church, that wouldn't really be very dramatic. I made Chase and Kale Methodists because I'm a Methodist and gays are very welcome in our church, at least in my conference.

Ryan, I'm glad to hear that gays are welcome in your Methodist conference. Not all Methodists are as welcoming, but more are becoming so.
It was also very good to see Austin and "Uncle George" doing so well, and to actually defy Carol-- That was great!
Good work you and Dave are doing on Toy Soldiers, as well.
This story reminds me of a friend of mine. He and another guy both had sex with this woman on a different night in a two week period. He ended up being convinced the kid was his, and married the woman. They had another boy child, then she ran off with an older and richer guy and took the older boy. DNA showed the older boy was not his son, but the bio-father was able to rescue the older boy and they established a loving relationship when the boy was about 6.
Unfortunately, things don't always work out that way....

Kale and Chase are going to have to grow up fast.
They'll do OK. They have their heads on right.

I can see someone being spoilt rotten by all those 'uncles'! The two junior 'uncles' might help keep his feet on the ground. Either that or make things so much worse!

I can honestly say i haven't cried so much reading a story before, but this one brought back a lot of memories from my childhood minus the having my own child I haven't got that far yet well I hope I haven't. So Ryan keep up the good work and I cant wait to read another one of your amazing creations.(but really I just want to read more of Linc, he the most adorable, sweetest little boy in the world I just want to take him home and look after him.)

Thanks Scott! I'm so glad you liked the story. Linc is a fun character to write but that little guy is a scene stealer! He has some funny moments in Super Model which is now available and I hope you enjoy as much.

Finally caught up to this story.
I have to say it was pretty amazing. Nice and heartwarming, and I'm glad Kale chose not to hold anything against Chase in this case, considering how bitter he has been in the past about things. Someone said they will have to grow up really fast, but I think Kale already has.
It had a nice fairy-tale wedding, too, at the end. Just family and friends is all you need: no one needs a Cinderella wedding with hundreds of people. This was perfect for our little family.
Although, they do have one thing in common with Cinderella with their own fairy godmother, ahem, I mean Kale's trust fund. It's great to have that for the sake of the story, but it does seem like it's pulling the story a little bit into the realm of the fantastical. Of course, they were already going to Cornell, anyway, so it guess it's not that much of a stretch.
