This is a really good story, a good length, and a couple of plot turns to make the story more interesting.
Samuel (Cynus) does something that can be challenging in this one─ making the first part of the story interesting without dialogue. Much of the story has no talking, and it can be a task to keep a story interesting without bits of people speaking here and there.
I am glad to see some of Samuel's work coming here in addition to the Sanitaria Springs/Logan and Seth series. And one other positive comment, from someone who went to grade school and high school in the 1950s and 1960s, the grammar and spelling in the stories I have read so far by him is possibly the best I have seen on any online story website. He uses commas and other punctuation marks very well─ not using too many or too few.
Great work on this story, Samuel.

Thank you, Paul I really appreciate your generous feedback. If I were to give the credit anywhere, however, it would have to be to an editor who graciously bestowed his teachings of grammar and punctuation upon me with an iron fist. I am, of course, only the product of my upbringing. I'm glad you enjoyed the story. This was one of my favorite stories to write.
