And what a story Bunny is! Wow!
Ryan or Dave, do either of you have any statistics of how many gay guys are raped and/or trapped in abusive relationships as teens? I have no idea if anyone has complied such a study or not.
I was almost literally on the edge of my seat during the last 1/3 of the story.

Paul, I have no idea. I just thought this was a story that needed to be told.

Yes, Ryan, the story DID need to be told.
A few aspects of the story remind me of two different stories by David Lee over on Nifty; I remember the stories, but I don't remember the exact chapters involved. While not a major force during the whole of the two stories, and it involved college age in one case, graduates from college in another case, some of the emotions were described in similar terms. Both you and he made the somewhat differing situations believable without dwelling on it so much that it cast an appalling pall over the whole story. But in the other cases, unlike your story, there were not a Lucien and Hamster, Derek and Robin to get involved and directly end the abuse.
Ryan, your writing is developing rapidly. I like the improvements I see in almost every story, as you continue to add to your writing repertoire. I love it.

Bunny is an important story because it does represent a dynamic in gay relationships that isn't commonly thought of. Even though domestic violence occurs in many different relationships, they go under reported in the gay community, partly due to the underground nature of some of our relationships. It's true the we are more out and visible than ever - and that visibility has humanized us in the eyes of some of our critics. Still, imagine a gay person who is closeted in such a relationship, much less someone who flies their flag?

There was a serial I read someplace that dealt with just this thing. I'll look for it.

I really detest domestic violence in any sort of relationship.
When the kid in this story said I'm just a chew toy for a Doberman it made me sad.
Dobermans are smart have better sense than to rough up people they love.
I can't say that's true for a lot of human mutts out there.

Whoa I was crying whilst reading this story and I've been a victim of domestic abuse myself. When I was at school I had a relationship with one of the older students he was a year older then me but every night after classes I would spend my time studying with him in his dorm, when there were other in the room he was nice to me he would hug me, cuddle me, peck me on the cheek every so often and help me out with my work when I was stuck, but when it was only me and him in the room his demeanor would just change and the next thing I know I would be on the floor clutching my stomach because he would of kicked me off the bed and would say to me stuff like 'Your such a little slut eyeing up my mates.' or 'I dont know why I put up with this shit from you.' most of the time I didn't know what he was talking about, but he had that power over me and it needed to be broken. So Bunny did bring up a few unpleasant memories and I hope you can bring griffin back in to the stories you write and how he's coping after Royce and finding that new somebody who will love him unconditionally without the use of violence or abuse.

I'm sorry that happened to you, Scott. I can assure you that Griffin will be back and in fact will be a regular part of the group. I've already written his next story and I think you'll be pleased. Thank you for being so brave and sharing your experience with us. I'm moved by it.

Cant wait he's my favorite character at the moment until Linc comes back on the scene, but I'll keep my eyes open.
