Lugnutz and Dave, I think I became a "Junior Member" at either 50 or 51 posts. I have seen others become "Junior Members" at about the same number of posts.
Cynus, this is one of your best stories ever!
Dave, you are already formatting on Terrific Thursday and Sanitaria Sunday -- maybe keep Thursday the same, and have a Navigator story on Sundays as well as Thursday? I know website formatting is not nearly as easy as it seems, from the very small amount of it I have already done at one of my jobs.
I am going to continue to enjoy this great website however you choose to do it. Thanks.

So, The penalty for being a lurker is that one never grows up. Hmmm... Not necessarily the worst outcome. John

Once 'templates' are in place, it's faster, but still takes some time.
Right now, as I try to standardize the appearance of the site and the main pages, it's a lot of work. I do understand wanting to read all of Cynus's story, and I do realize it's posted ahead in other places - so, for nothing else, I'd like to post it to keep your eyeballs coming back to these pages. However, I can't compete with a lot of those sites in terms of volume and number of authors.
For instance, GA has a system where authors can post when they are ready. That is a function of purchased (I think) software and a group to manage the site as moderators - not just for forums but to act as gatekeepers when it comes to following content guidelines. Here, there is only me.
Other sites also employ posting schedules - as I have tried to do for years. When I have stories, I do try to get you to come back because if I, for instance, popped all 27 chapters online you'd all miss work for a few days and then not have anything to read and I'd have nothing new to give you. That's not to mention the time Cynus put into creating it and my time to create the pages to be read.
I'm not complaining, please don't think that. This site has been my personal pleasure and hobby for some time and I get to share it with you. I'm just pointing out that there is a decent amount of effort that goes into the whole thing and it all takes time - not to mention trying to get my own writing in, deal with working full time, three dogs and, currently, two kids.
So, dear readers, I hear you and I empathize. I'm going at what I feel is a manageable pace. Please don't let this discourage you from making suggestions or asking for things - it's all part of the improvement process. Just this morning I was able to, finally, get some code that solves some big issues for me. It just takes time.

I would rather have a chapter at a time. Can re-read them complete later.

Samuel, this may be your best story yet.
Would you consider posting the words to the song, "The Navigator," on this forum? Has anyone come up with music of which you approve for the lyrics yet?
And when you have Demons of the Crossroad release the song and it becomes a hit, would you consider writing a story, or Dave or Ryan could write a story, in which the school show band, Sahara, plays and sings the song? With piano, flute, and cello added to the instruments, it should make for a great song and story!
Yes, guys, I realize that it would be a crossover story. But it could be a great one!

I've spoken with Sam and the Demons of the Crossroads may make an appearance in a story I'm working on outside of SS.

Navigator This song is dedicated to our friend, Silas Drake.
Verse 1: Cold winter’s night, the sun was fallen God knows it wasn’t easy Must’ve been some fight, to bring him callin’ To the lonely road out of town. His lady at his side, he took up the fight They must’ve thought him crazy, But he hitched a ride, out into the light The navigator wouldn’t be kept down.
Chorus: ‘Cause there’s no rest for the wicked, No home to call his own. No there’s no rest for the wicked, He’s out there all alone. Been to a thousand places Seen many friendly faces But there’s no rest for the wicked, Navigator’s never going home.
Verse 2: There can be no doubt, the kid’s heart is pure, You could see it in his eyes, Something about his eyes made sure He meant no harm to none. Whatever it was, that drove him off, A history of pain and lies, We know ‘cause that kid was tough, Navigator will always find the sun.
Chorus: ‘Cause there’s no rest for the wicked, No home to call his own. No there’s no rest for the wicked, He’s out there all alone. Been to a thousand places Seen many friendly faces But there’s no rest for the wicked, Navigator’s never going home.
Bridge: The Navigator’s always watching But the signs are adding up. He’ll find the sun, He’ll find direction, He’ll find his way His way His way His way….
Back
Chorus: ‘Cause there’s no rest for the wicked, No home to call his own. No there’s no rest for the wicked, He’s out there all alone. Been to a thousand places Seen many friendly faces But the Navigator’s not wicked, And the Navigator’s gonna find home.
On a side note, there is nothing preventing The Demons from making a stop in Sanitaria Springs someday when they're on tour. They could show up one day.

Cynus, did anyone ever come up with satisfactory music for the Navigator song words?

As far as Cynus is aware, no. At least not for the lyrics he wrote. A friend of his was writing their own lyrics to the song and set it to the tune of Dio's "Holy Diver", but he is unaware as to whether or not that was ever finished.
