So after leaving 85% of my stomach in St. Louis last week, liquid protein, iced tea and ice water are getting pretty old. Does anyone have any suggestions for a clear liquid drink that would satisfy my savory cravings? Low sodium broth isn't cutting it, either.

What are the requirements of what you are currently allowed to eat and drink? Are you allowed to have peppermint tea or green tea or clear flavored water?

Clear liqids and protein drinks/mixes.

Actually I'm not supposed to have sugar, either. Fruit juices are allowed if cut with equal parts water, no carbonated beverages.

No sugar? That complicates things!

There are those cubes that go in water bottles that I thought about before. I seen them in the store.

For a hot drink, what about Bovril or Oxo. I'm afraid I don't know the U.S. equivalents. Bovril is a beef extract. Oxo is similar but is really a stock cube and has MSG in it. Comes in flavours other than beef these days. Bovril was used as a nutritious substitute for tea by us Brits during the war (if I have my history right).
On a similar thought you can get bouillon powder from catering suppliers and it is now becoming available in jelly form to let down with hot water to make stock.
Savoury and cold? The best I can suggest are gazpacho or vichyssoise, neither of which are clear.
