Another great SS story. I had wondered if Sean was going to realize that he truly did have feelings for Asher. I also thought that maybe when Boomer showed up on the scene that he would end up with Asher thru the help of Jamie & Sean. Since that doesnt look that it is going to be the case then i'm thinking that Phillip might be the best match for Boomer. He will be strong enough physically & emotionally to keep Phillip in line and not let him go back to his previous ways.
Glad to see that Asher has been accepted into the Ellis family and that Scott views him as his brother. Can't wait until the next SS story. Keep up the good work.

Ryan and I were snickering, knowing these were written and watching the ideas about who would end up with whom.

When I first saw the title, I thought it would revolve mostly about Linc. I was delighted to be wrong. The complexities of the stories, and the emotions and feelings involved, make me wonder: will we have a flashback in a future story, with Jamie's reaction to Sean telling him that he and Asher are now boyfriends?
You and Ryan mentioned that Sean plays piano, though not as well as Elliot or Kale. Has he had more practice since the last time it was mentioned? Perhaps Sean might have a great voice....

Gosh that was difficult. There didn't seem to be a way out that wouldn't leave someone badly hurt. I'm not sure that Averi hasn't been hurt, whatever she might say. It's great that Ash and Sean have hooked up though and I think you managed to steer the best path through the mess.
I love the scene near the end in the back garden.
Thanks.

I'm glad you seem to be enjoying it, folks. When I originally wrote Asher, Ryan was against pairing him with Sean - he was concerned about how believable it would be to have so many gay/bi siblings. Eventually he was won over by the emotion in 'Exception' which led directly to 'Cookie Monster'. I think many missed the symbolism at the end of 'Exception' with respect to the flower - She glanced down and looked at the flower with a smile. “That flower is a daisy. It's a simple, elegant flower that symbolizes purity, love, loyalty and innocence.”
Sean gave all of those to Asher, figuratively with the flower, and literally in bed the night before. Taken in that context, CM makes a ton of sense. Later, this winter, we'll have the conclusion of that arc with 2 Low 4 Zero.

I echo everything that Paul said: we need to see more of who Sean is, and what he can do, now. Hopefully he can be confident in himself, now, and be fulfilled with Asher, and that might help some of the more obvious interest in girls dissipate over time, if he can let himself be content with being in a couple with Asher.
All this time, though, I keep wishing I could go back in time, and find a best friend to fall in love with, this way. This seems like such another perfectly built romance: they aren't just a couple random guys hooking up, or just thinking they are in love from their first chance meeting, not that that hasn't worked in some Dabeagle stories. They really do seem to be following in the footsteps of Robin and Lucien, too, in terms of setting gender definitions aside, and just loving each other as persons, and also in terms of having their romance building up slowly over such a long time, sometimes awkward and hard to see, but genuine and not contrived, already tested and proven to be genuine.
It's also good to see that Scott actually has a real identity of his own, and a sense of true understanding. It's nice to see that he truly is Asher's real brother and will stick by him and understands him. I think Scott may have been underestimated by his parents for a long time: he just needed a brother to share his real sense of caring and understanding with, so he's lucky to have one, now.
