As we close out the month, Halloween is nearly upon us. Assembled we have a fun list of stories both old and new! Special thanks to the new stories from Cynus, Lugnutz, Gee Whillickers, Merkin, SteveT and a special posting from Ryan Bartlett. You can read them here or linked from the main page. Happy Halloween!

I gave your collection a plug over at GA. Hopefully draw some traffic in for the collection.

Thanks! Maybe they'll read these, they certainly aren't reading Toy Soldiers!

I felt that way about Ashes of Fate over there, too, but they started picking it up at last. Maybe Toy Soldiers is just sitting in their queues, waiting for them to get to it.

Thanks! Maybe they'll read these, they certainly aren't reading Toy Soldiers! I saw your comment over there re: your blurb possibly turning people off, and I think it (the blurb) could definitely benefit from a rewrite. As I read the story, it's an action/adventure/romance and an interesting variation on coming-of-age. While the protagonists face big challenges and spine-tingling dangers, I think the blurb as written misleads potential readers into thinking it's bleak and hopeless, contrary to how it actually comes across. I enjoyed the story, but if I had read the blurb first I definitely would have had second thoughts about starting it, to say the least.

I have not yet been able to read all of them, but I enjoyed seeing several of Ryan's stories again, and especially enjoyed The Drawbacks of Being a Monster (again), Mask of the Hunter (again), Forever December (again), Payback (again), The Mask (again), Darkness Take my Hand (for the first time), Trick of Treat (for the first time), and the two stories by Gee (for the first time). I look forward to reading the rest as time permits.
To all the authors, *TYVM! *Thank You Very Much!

I just finished reading "Toy Soldiers" again, and had to come here for the rest because it wasn't complete there yet. In the end, it shows hope.

The last 'review' indicated something to that effect. It grates at me, though, that folks know what I write and - okay, whining here I guess - but ugh, nevermind. I'l see if I can reword it and get a few more interested.

I'l see if I can reword it and get a few more interested. I totally understand that feeling. I was so bummed when I first released Return With Honor because it wasn't getting anywhere near the attention The Navigator had received, and a number of people pointed out that religious stories are a big turnoff to a lot of members of the LGBT community. I remember thinking almost the exact same thing of "People know what I write, so why do they expect this to be any different?"... Yeah, it can certainly be annoying, but the readers do find their way to the story eventually.
