Happy Sanitaria Sunday! This week I'm happy to finally deliver on one of the new authors writing for the 'springs. JohnInLex has picked up the threads of two characters that spoke to him, from Ryan's ' The Wounded Reindeer', and has run with their story. Please welcome—and read!—JohnInLex and his story ' A Matter of the Heart'.

<tap on shoulder> Needs a link under Newest Short Stories on the Home page. Hit F5, it was done yesterday; you're looking at a cached version of the main page.

Hi Dave Referring to my comment on the Sanitaria Springs/Matter of the Heart forum page:- I was reading the site using an iPAD. If I followed the link from your post here I got to the story. If I try to follow from the SS main page I get a SEDO domain holding page showing recipe links. Also for some reason the thumbnails no longer display on the SS main page, and the MotH link is missing from the home page......(yes I have tried what passes for deleting the cache)........ BUT... Looking on my WIN7/explorer machine, all is hunky dory. Closer examination reveals that the explorer browser is picking up URLs of the format WWW.dabeagle.com/stories/...., whereas the iPAD is looking at URLs format M.dabeagle.com/stories/........... and as expected if I overwrite the m. with www. when looking for the story I get the right page. But there again if I try the same thing for the home page it don't work , it just defaults back to the m. site. I don't claim to understand these things but is the iPAD looking at a mirror site that has not updated fully for some reason? P

Hmm...the m.dabeagle is a subdomain, part of the mobile friendly version which doesn't have images in order to speed loading the page. I think I know what to do to fix it, I just didn't realize that was the issue. I'll remedy it right now.

I don't like to be the bearer of bad news but the 'm' home page won't load now. It looks as though it is getting stuck in a loop. I am unable to force the iPad to look at the 'www' page. The 'm' version of MotH is still not recognised. Apologies if you are still working on it.... But if you are.. Stop burning the midnight oil, get some rest and look again tomorrow.! P

First weekend with the new updates and precious few ways to test them. I think my mistake was that the m.dabeagle.com is basically the whole site stuffed in the /mobile directory. There is a special version of the SS page that goes in there, sans images and a little bot of other code. However, in order for them to work/update I have to put each new file (index, story, new folders) into the /mobile folder as well as the primary site folders. I think that is done now and everything should work on mobile devices. Please let me know if this isn't the case.

Home page is still doing the manic looping thing on mobile (iPad in my case).

The problem was a piece of forwarding code. Placing it on the main index page forwards it to the m.dabeagle if your screen size is X. Unfortunately, that identical page was in the m.dabeagle and thus continuously forwarding. Fixed, and thank you for everyone helping with alerting me and updating me, it helps me to get things fixed! Sorry for the trouble!

When I try to access the new story from the Sanitaria Springs page on my phone, I get this weird ad that I can only get out of by hitting the back button. Other stories from that page appear to be acting and loading normally.
