I was surfing around on the web when I came across a recommendation for this particular story. I clicked the link and it brought me right back here to The Dog Park and a story by our own Dog Father. I've read it once before, but damn, this is a good story. I highly recommend it. www.dabeagle.com/stories/dabeagle/living/living.html

I agree, its a good story. I've enjoyed it again a second time. It was a surprise ending as I didn't expect Chris to fall in love with Evan. I nice ending.

I saw the thread and, yet again, had to re-read one of my favourite Dabeagle shorts.
You are such a guy!

I thought I had a whole posting about this story somewhere once.
It is one of my top favorite Dabeagle offerings. The genuine, intimate friendship that Chris and Evan make with each other, so deep that it slowly forms into a romantic love, has to be the best way to start a relationship.
The slow realization and understanding gives you ample time to realize and address all fear and doubts, and lay them to rest because you know the answer is still going to be that you truly love your best friend.
I think twilight time is one of the best descriptions I have ever heard for understanding what a true friendship and romance is. Spending an unmeasurable amount of time talking about nothing, but still gaining true understanding.

I’ve read this one several times now, the latest just a few days ago. I sent a note of appreciation to Dave for the story. Ilife in general can be messed up at times, and reading this one yet again helped stabilize my attitudes about stuff. Sometimes we just need an extra shot of “happy” to help get us through 😊

First Dabeagle story I ever came across. It was so sweet and touching. I found it at around 11 pm and ended up staying up for the next several hours bingeing it.
