The 8-year-old boy, educationally way ahead of most others of his age, was walking with his mother in the western town when they saw a guy walking. The boy said, “Look at the bow-legged cowboy!”
The mother replied, “Son, be polite. Express it like Shakespeare would.”
The boy was quite for a few minutes as he pondered. Then his eyes lit up, and he turned to his mother and quietly said in an excited way, “Mother, I think I have it. Shakespeare would say it this way:
‘Behold! There is a man whose legs and knees─
Together form shapes like parentheses!’”
The mother thought this over for a moment. Then she said, “That will certainly work, son. Well done!” ~ An old joke.
