This is a book I recommend many times over. While Cynus has opened my eyes a bit to the interior of Mormonism and growing up in what I can only feel is more of a cult than anything else, Autoboyography brings us face to face with not only living in Mormon country, how the Mormon religion is wrestling with the LGBT community, and what happens when all of those collide. There are three main characters in truth - two best friends, Tanner and Autumn, and the enigmatic Sebastian Brother - son of a local bishop. They all come together under the cover of The Seminar - a high school class that it very difficult to get into, but whose focus is to write an entire novel. Sebastian wrote a novel that was accepted for publication, and is something of a local celebrity.
The book uses recurring themes, fully realized characters and is completely, totally worth your time.
